# Inventory

> Managing routers, access points, and controllers in Wiacom

The Inventory section manages all WiFi equipment connected to Wiacom — individual routers and access points (legacy mode) and cloud controller connections (API mode).

## Routers — Individual Devices (Legacy Mode)

### Adding a Single Device

1. Go to **Inventory → Routers → Add New Router**
2. Select the **Router Vendor** from the dropdown
3. Fill in the required fields (typically WAN MAC address or NAS-ID — varies by vendor)
4. Optionally assign a **Location** to associate the device immediately
5. Click **Save**

### Bulk Import

For deployments of 10 or more devices:

1. Go to **Inventory → Routers → Unallocated Routers → Import from Excel**
2. Click **Download import template** for vendor-specific column headers
3. Fill in the template (contact Wiacom for vendor-specific field requirements)
4. Select the **Router Vendor** and optionally a **Location**
5. Upload the file and click **Import Router**

<Info>
  For large deployments where one controller manages multiple sites, split imports by site and select the corresponding Wiacom location for each import run.
</Info>

### Unallocated Devices

Devices added without a location appear under **Inventory → Routers → Unallocated Routers** and can be assigned to locations at any time.

## Controllers — API Integrations

API-connected controllers are managed under **Inventory → Controllers**. See [Controllers](/admin-reference/controllers) for full details.
