Credential Privacy

Are end-user home network credentials exposed to the venue, operator, or Wiacom? No. The user’s home WiFi credentials are never transmitted to or stored by the venue, the operator, or Wiacom. Horizon provisions a dedicated credential set for the user at that venue only. The user’s underlying home network details remain entirely within their own equipment. The model is analogous to tokenised payment systems — a venue-specific credential is derived and used without the original ever leaving the user’s own environment.

Operational Complexity

Does Horizon require new hardware or changes to existing infrastructure? No. Horizon works alongside existing wireless infrastructure. There is no manual configuration required per user and no changes to the infrastructure beyond the initial controller integration.

Vendor Compatibility

Will Horizon affect our vendor support status? No. Horizon operates through vendor-supported interfaces and does not modify firmware or bypass security controls.

Compliance & Data Protection

What data does Horizon process? Horizon processes the technical identifiers required for provisioning and session management. Personal data captured through an onboarding channel is handled in accordance with the platform’s standard data model and the applicable Data Processing Agreement.
For data residency and deployment options see Platform Overview.
