Controllers are API-connected WiFi vendor integrations. Each controller represents a connection to a single vendor organisation or management instance.

Adding a Controller

Go to Inventory → Controllers → Add controller, select your vendor, and follow the vendor setup guide:

Removing a Controller

  1. Inventory → Controllers → [controller] → Settings → Remove controller
  2. Confirm removal
Removing a controller does not delete guest registrations, credentials, or analytics data. No changes are pushed to the physical equipment.

API Credential Rotation

  1. [Controller] → Edit credentials
  2. Paste the new API key and click Validate and save
No guest access is interrupted during rotation.

Sync Behaviour

Automatic background syncs run every 6 hours. Trigger a manual sync via Sync from controller. A sync does:
  • Add new SSIDs, update SSID metadata, remove deleted SSIDs
  • Refresh the AP inventory
A sync does not:
  • Overwrite Wiacom role assignments (Portal / WiFi Pass / Key Access)
  • Overwrite location mappings
  • Push config changes to the controller
  • Modify or delete guest credentials
